Our Sound & Media Department gives aspiring creatives the professional skills and hands-on experience to turn their passion into a paying career.
Whether you want to produce music in a studio, shoot and edit videos, master DJ mixing, repair sound equipment, or play a musical instrument to a professional standard, Sensei has the course, the equipment and the instructors to take you there. All courses are built around real studio and field practice.

Entry Requirements

National ID or School Certificate. No prior music or media experience required.

Nakuru Campus (Barnabas Centre, Pipeline Road) | Kitengela Campus (Milimani Estate, Sensei Area)

Study Mode

Boarding (food & accommodation): Boarding: KES 8,000/month (food & accommodation included). Music Instruments fee is per instrument, students may study one or more instruments simultaneously.

Intake Periods

First week of every month (4th–8th).

Documents needed: 2 photocopies of National ID + 4 passport photos. Boarding students should carry personal effects (blankets, bed sheets, toiletries, plates, cup & spoon).

FAQs

For most technical courses, a valid National ID is all you need to register. Some specialised courses may have additional requirements that the school will ask for during aadmission
Duration varies by course and level. Short skills courses can take a few weeks, while full certificate programmes run for several months. You are also free to register for more than one course

Yes, you can pay in instalments. Fees can be paid via M-Pesa (Paybill No: 247247, using your ACC NO: 0310260756005) or at the campus directly. After an M-Pesa payment, forward the confirmation SMS to 0729891301 (Nakuru Campus) or 0717-951055 (Kitengela Campus)

Yes. Sensei’s training philosophy is strongly practical. Students are expected to be physically present at the campus since hands-on work in workshops and on equipment is a core part of every technical programme.
Yes. Both campuses (Nakuru along the Nairobi-Nakuru Highway, and Kitengela in Nairobi) have hostels that provide food and boarding for students who need accommodation.
Sensei does not place graduates into employment, but you will receive a letter of recommendation to support your job search. The industry-aligned curriculum and practical training are designed to make you job-ready from day one.
